This Privacy Policy explains how Toms Burgmanis (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Plates mobile application (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Summary
- We do not collect personal information from you inside the App at this time.
- Your training data is stored on your device (unless future sync features are added).
- Apple may collect information as part of App Store distribution and In-App Purchases.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide in the App
The App allows you to enter fitness-related information such as workouts, exercises, sets, reps, and related training metrics (“Workout Data”).
Workout data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.
2.2 Information collected automatically by the App
The app does not include third-party analytics SDKs or tracking tools (such as Mixpanel), and we do not automatically collect usage analytics from within the App.
If this changes in the future, we may collect limited information such as:
- app interactions (e.g., which screens are opened)
- feature usage (e.g., routine builder used)
- device/app performance (e.g., crashes, load times)
- device identifiers (as permitted by iOS settings and Apple policies)
We will update this Privacy Policy before or at the time such collection begins.
2.3 Information collected by Apple
When you download the App or make purchases (including the Lifetime Unlock), Apple may process information such as:
- purchase history
- payment information (handled by Apple)
- device/account identifiers
- App Store analytics
This information is processed by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details.
3. How We Use Information
Since we currently do not collect personal data from inside the App, we do not use personal data for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
If we add analytics or diagnostics tools in the future, we may use collected information to:
- understand which features are useful
- improve app stability and performance
- fix bugs and crashes
- improve onboarding and user experience
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
Currently, we do not share personal information with third parties because we do not collect it.
If we add analytics tools in the future, limited information may be shared with service providers (for example, analytics providers such as Mixpanel) solely to help us understand app usage and improve the App. Any such sharing will be governed by contracts and limited to the purposes described in this policy.
5. Data Retention
Because we currently do not collect personal data from within the App, we do not retain personal data on our servers.
If analytics are added in the future, we will retain collected data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
6. Your Choices and Controls
You can control information as follows:
- You may delete your Workout Data at any time by deleting workouts inside the App.
- You may remove locally stored App data by uninstalling the App.
- If analytics are added in the future, you may be able to control tracking through iOS settings (e.g., App Tracking Transparency / tracking permissions) depending on how the feature is implemented.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect user information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Users
If you use the App outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in other jurisdictions if we introduce cloud features or analytics in the future. Where required, we will implement appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” above.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice inside the App.
